If you’ve visited Newstead Medical’s Facebook on Wednesday, you may have seen Garrett Quill.

Under the supervision of Dr. Paul Hanson, Garrett is a 3rd-year mature-age medical student currently studying at the Oceania University of Medicine

Prior to entering medical school, he worked in finance and government, though always had a burning desire to study Medicine. By chance, his wife saw and shared an article she’d seen in the The Examiner Newspaper, Launceston, where two mature-age students had made medicine a reality, including our own Dr. Claire Jones, who also studied with the Oceania University of Medicine.

In his spare time (when not studying!) Garrett loves spending time with family, possibly camping, with his wife, Verity, their two young children, and their border collie/kelpie, Jett.
