He also advocates the University’s mission among various external constituencies outside of Samoa.

Serving OUM’s Australian students as Associate Dean, Dean, and most recently Executive Dean since 2008, Dr. May is a graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School. He was first a general practitioner and fellow in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and then returned to hospital practice in the early 1990s as Director of Emergency Medicine at Logan Hospital. Upon earning his fellowship in the Australian College for Emergency Medicine, Dr. May was Deputy Director of Emergency Medicine at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and Director of the Prince Charles Hospital Emergency Department, prior to his current post as Director of Emergency Services at Redland Hospital, Queensland. Dr. May is a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland Department of Critical Care at both RBWH and Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr. May was the immediate past Chair of the Standards Committee and Workforce Subcommittee for the Australian College for Emergency Medicine. As OUM’s Dean for Australia, Dr. May played an integral role securing the school’s clinical clerkship program in the region.[/fusion_person][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
